Sow feeding and management during pregnancy

First, improve the nutritional level of feed. After sows are pregnant, because they are in the stage of growth and development at the same time and they are responsible for the growth and development of the fetus, their nutritional level should be raised.
Second, master the diet volume. According to the different phases of fetal development during pregnancy, the ratio of sperm and roughage should be adjusted timely so that the diet volume is appropriate, so that pregnant sows can neither feel hungry nor oppress the fetus. In the second trimester, the number of feedings per day can be increased to meet the nutritional needs of the fetus and the mother.
Third, pay attention to feed quality. In the diet of gestating sows, no matter whether it is concentrate feed or roughage feed, all of them are required to be of good quality. They must not be fed mildew, spoilage, freezing, and toxic or highly irritating feeds, otherwise they will cause miscarriage and loss. Feed types should not be changed frequently.
Fourth, careful management. Pre-pregnancy sows can be reared in groups. In the first month of pregnancy, the sows are allowed to eat well, rest well and exercise less. Let the sows have enough time to exercise later and summer heatstroke. Reduce the amount of exercise during the second and third trimesters, and stop exercising before labor.
