Lamb's suspended animation

Some lambs grow perfectly, but do not breathe or breathe slowly after birth, and the heart beats normally. This phenomenon is called suspended animation. When this kind of phenomenon is encountered, as long as it is timely rescued, it can generally be revived.

There are many ways to rescue a dead lamb. Generally summed up as follows: "The two forelimbs are held by hand like a hacksaw and do it repeatedly; in the nasal cavity, the spout smoke stimulates the lamb and breathes quickly." Firstly, the mucus or amniotic fluid sucked into the respiratory tract of the lamb is completely removed, and the nostrils are cleaned. Lambs were placed in low and high places immediately before artificial respiration. The lamb was supine, holding the forelegs, swaying the body, flexing and stretching back and forth, and tapping on both sides of the lamb's chest with his hands, prompting the lambs to quickly regain their breath. You can also hold the two hind legs with your hands, so that the head sagging, shaking to the left and right, so that the flow of mucus blocking the throat. Use a cotton ball to dipped into the nostrils with iodine or white spirit or smoke the lamb's nasal cavity to resuscitate.

The frozen lamb should be immediately moved into the warm room for a warm bath. The water temperature starts at 38°C and slowly increases to 45°C. When bathing, the head of the lamb should be exposed to the water, and at the same time, it should be combined with abdominal massage. Soak in warm water for 20-30 minutes. After the lamb is resuscitated, wipe it dry. Individual thin lambs can be left in the conservatory or enthusiasm to return the lamb to normal.

When necessary, each lamb can be injected intramuscularly with 4 to 5 ml of anesthesia, and 4 to 6 ml of vitamin C can be mixed once. After normalization, 4 ml of aminopyrine is injected into each muscle, and 1.6 to 3.2 million units of penicillin is mixed once.

1. Adjust the proportion of calcium and phosphorus in diet, add vitamin A and vitamin D3, and isolate the affected ducks from breeding and isolation to prevent trampling or not to drink or feed and cause death. If there is less calcium in the diet, then add more calcium in the diet. 0.1% sodium dihydrogen phosphate, if the feed contains less calcium and more phosphorus can be added in the drinking water 1% to 2% of sodium bicarbonate, the sick duck as much as possible to exercise outdoors, accept sunlight, at the same time, to supplement A certain amount of green feed.

2. After the laying duck enters the laying period, vitamin A and vitamin D3 should be added to the feed; after the start of production, appropriate amounts of bone meal and shell powder should be added. When the laying rate exceeds 5%, the duck duck feed formula should be promptly replaced, if necessary. It is also necessary to properly supplement protein feeds to ensure that egg ducks are produced productively.

3. In the duck houses, ventilation and ventilation are intensified. Even though the temperature at night has dropped at night, it is still not eager to increase the stocking density. It is necessary to increase the feed intake of ducks.

4. Keepers should observe carefully and find that the diseased duck is isolated from the ducks in time, and oxytetracycline, bacillus bacillus, etc. prevent diarrhea and secondary infection of diseased ducks, and generally can be recovered.

5. According to the law of growth of ducks and ducks, the feed must be changed in time to enter the first stage of production to prevent shortage of nutrient supply.

6. Vitamin A, vitamin D3, or cod liver oil is properly added to the feed to promote the absorption of calcium in the diet.

7. Do a good job in environmental sanitation and disinfection of duck houses, chutes, sinks should be regularly cleaned and disinfected, and timely removal of feces.

8. According to actual production and climate change, some antibiotics should be properly added to feed to prevent the occurrence of E. coli disease.
