Breeding of purebred pigs

Physical characteristics

Purebred fragrant pigs are small in size, covered with black hair, denser, finer luster, darker skin, long head flattened, wrinkles in the neck, small ears, hard ear roots, flattened ears on both sides, around the eyes Obvious hairless area, back waist slightly concave, abdomen large, round, sagging, limbs and short, slender tail-like rat tail, nipples are mostly 5 pairs.

Reproduction

The boar had a crawling behavior at 2 months of age and the sow was estrus at 3 months of age. The estrus cycle is 18 to 21 days, lasting about 4 days. 4 months of mating, pregnancy is about 11.4 days. The average yield of the first-born sows was 5.6, and that of the average sows was 8.3. In breeding, the management of breeding boars should be strengthened, and nutrition should be increased to allow them to exercise more. In order to prevent boar masturbation, boars should be built up in the upwind direction of the sows and separated by a certain distance. The boars should be raised in a single circle. The appropriate mating time for sows is about 30 hours after the start of oestrus. After 2 months of pregnancy, the sow should be raised in a single circle to prevent abortion.

Enhanced nursing piglet management

Strengthen insulation, especially in winter, to prevent thief winds and pad hay.

Early eating, piglets can be fed 5 to 7 days after birth (10 to 20 grams of activated carbon per kilogram of feed to prevent diarrhea).

Timely weaning piglets weigh 0.5 kg at birth and 3 to 5 kg at 2 months of weaning weight.

The pigs were given "preemptive immunization", that is, piglets were injected with swine fever vaccine before they were eaten, and the piglets were allowed to eat colostrum half an hour after the injection.

The dynamics of piglets are often observed and the pigs are found to be isolated and treated in time to prevent cross-infection.

Feed and Nutrition

The feed can be prepared by corn, bran, rice bran, bean cake, bone meal, salt, etc. Pig feed contains 19% of crude protein, 15% of weaned piglets, 16% of pregnant sows, and 13% to 14% of boars. Feeding standards are 200 grams per day for 2 months of age. Adding 100 grams of feed every 1 month of age, green roughage and clean drinking water should be provided to meet their growth needs.

Feeding management points

The sheds are sunny, ventilated and dry, and are divided into two types, one is for keeping the ring and the other is for keeping the ring, and the sanitation, feed, and drinking water are maintained.

Strictly control the amount of feed to prevent diarrhea due to too much feed.

The piglets were immunized after the weaning and were given a triple vaccine.

Pay attention to the feeding, defecation, and sleeping triangle positioning of tuned piglets.
