Pasture control measures

The armyworm is an important pest of the world's gramineous plants, and all provinces and cities in China suffer harm. The worm larvae of the armyworm are very complicated, especially they prefer grassy grasses. The harmful pastures include ryegrass, Sudan grass, Dactylis edulis, Setaria viridis, and crops such as wheat, corn and rice. The larvae bite the leaves, and the 1st to 2nd instar larvae only eat the leaf flesh and form small round holes. After the 3rd instar, they form nicks, and the 4th to 6th instars reach the overeating period. When the damage is severe, the leaves are eaten and the plants form light stalks.

Adults are 17 mm to 20 mm in length, pale grayish brown, and 30 mm to 45 mm in wings. There are two yellowish round spots on the near-front edge of the forewings, with a larger round spot on the outside and a small white point below it. There is a small black spot on both sides of the white spot. In the 1/3 of the trailing edge of the wing tip, there is a slanting dark brown pattern. From the 1/4 of the leading edge to the 1/3 of the trailing edge, 7 to 9 black dots are arranged in an arc. The inside of the hind wing is gray-brown and brownish outwards.

Egg-head shaped, about 0.6 mm in diameter, yellowish-white, with an irregular reticular pattern on the surface.

Larvae larvae generally 6 instar, body length 17 mm to 20 mm, mature larvae about 38 mm, body color changes are larger, generally green to yellow-brown, body with black and white brown vertical lines 5, head brown To sepia, the valve is light brown and black.

There is a burr bent outwards at the end of the dovetail. There are two pairs of small and curved small spines on each side of the spine.

The armyworm reproduces all year round (southern provinces) from 5th to 8th generation. The first egg period is 6 days to 15 days, and the later generations are 3 days to 6 days; the larval period is 14 days to 28 days, the preceding flood period is 1 day to 3 days, the flood season is 10 days to 14 days, and the adult pre-spawning period 3 Days ~7 days, it takes 40 days to 50 days to complete the generation.

Adults sleep at night and start activities, feeding, mating, and spawning in the evening. Each female can lay 1,000 to 2000 eggs. The larvae have a total of 6 instars and have a pseudo dead nature. During the daytime in the potential grass, night activities harmed. Old mature larvae often degenerate in the grass and under the clods.

Control methods:

Trap and kill moths to take 1:1:4:16 sugar, wine, vinegar, water, and mix thoroughly with 1 part 2.5% trichlorfon powder. The lures were placed in pots and 2 pots to 3 pots per hectare. The pots were 30 cm to 35 cm above the forage, and the lure depth was 3 cm to 3.5 cm. Cover the pots during the day and open the lids in the evening. Remove dead moths every morning, and invigorate them once every 5 days to 7 days for 16 days to 20 days.

The moth picking eggs start from the beginning of spawning until the end of the egg-laying period. Grasses are placed in the field. 150 grasses per hectare are changed, and the grassy eggs with the eggs are collected and burned.

Drug control is mainly based on the use of insecticides that are safe for humans and animals, and have short residues of herbicides and no side effects, such as 40% New Nongbao EC: 800-1200 times, and 25% Hong Chong suspoemulsion: 500-800 , 30% Horse Emulsion: 1000-1500 times, 90% Wan-Ling Wet Powder: 1500-2000 times, 20% and Bangshui Emulsion: 1000-1200 times, 90% Trichlorfon 1000-1500 times Liquid spray and so on. After medication for 15 days to 20 days, herbage is not harmful to livestock and poultry.

Light trapping In areas where the grass is not undulating, where there is little obstruction, and electricity is available, the "frequency-vibration insecticidal lamp" can be used to seduce adult worms. A lamp is installed for every 40-60 acres, opened in the evening and closed in the early morning.
