Morphological characteristics:
Plant height up to 30cm. Stem fleshy, stout, brown. With unique shield-shaped leaves, densely arranged on the stem, starting from the top of the stem in the downward radial direction. Petiole elongates, but varies in length, and the leaves are fleshy and shiny when carried out. The appearance of a bright mirror with various shapes and sizes is suspended from the tip of the stem, hence its name. After the old leaves of the lower part are withered, the upper part continues to grow new green leaves, never to be thankful for years. The stalks are gradually thickened, and they are rapidly stretched upwards. The top is often covered with round leaves, making the whole plant look like a straight "tree fern" or a strange little palm tree.
Origin:
Special products in China, the distribution area is very narrow, limited to the mountains of Hengduan Mountains in western Yunnan. Often grows in precipices and caves that are above 2000m above sea level.
Growth habits:
It is a rare cold-resistant and joyous plant. Although it is pleasing to the shade, it grows well in sunny greenhouses, and it is grown at a temperature of about 15°C.
It is suitable for growing on moist and drained peat soil, and is used for greenhouse potting in areas other than Yunnan and South China. Family pots are also suitable.
