Commissioning and correct operation of vacuum drying oven

Abstract: The vacuum drying oven is designed for drying heat sensitive, easily decomposable and easily oxidizable materials. It can keep the working chamber with a certain degree of vacuum during operation and can inject inert gas into the interior.

1. Close the door of the vacuum drying box and screw the door handle into place, close the bleed valve (turn the hole on the rubber plug 90° to the hole on the vent valve), and open the vacuum valve (rotate 90 counterclockwise) °), the first use may be vacuum valve switch is tight, can be rotated by force.

2. Connect the vacuum drying box (outer diameter: Φ16mm) and the vacuum pump (2XZ-2 type, the outer diameter of the inlet Φ16mm) to the vacuum connecting tube (inner diameter: Φ16mm wall thickness: 10mm) (6090 and 6210) Connected). Turn on the vacuum pump power supply and start pumping. When the vacuum gauge indication value reaches -0.1Mpa, turn off the vacuum valve and then turn off the vacuum pump power supply to prevent the vacuum pump oil from flowing back into the working chamber. (Models 6090 and 6210 have no vacuum valve and can be directly closed. Vacuum pump power on the panel) At this time, the inside of the box is under vacuum.



After the vacuum degree of the vacuum drying oven is debugged, the following operations can be performed:

1. Turn on the vacuum oven power supply. At this time, the power indicator light should be on (6090 and 6210 models should be turned on separately.) The temperature controller is powered on and self-test. The PV screen displays the temperature measured in the working room. The SV screen displays the factory settings. The temperature is fixed. The AT and HEAT lights on the temperature controller should be on, indicating that the instrument enters the warm working state.

2, modify the set temperature

2.1. Press the function key (SET) of the temperature controller; after the SP screen displays the SP character, you can use the button to change the set temperature (6090 and 6210 to 2 and 3 instruments should be set separately, the following classes) with).

2.2 After the modification is completed, press the SET button again, the PV screen displays the ST character and sets the timing time.

If you do not use the timing function, still let its ST=0

2.3. Press the SET button again to make the PV screen display the studio temperature, and the SV screen displays the new set temperature. The meter AT and HEAT lights are on, and the meter re-enters the warming state.

3. When the temperature in the working chamber is close to the set temperature, the HEAT light will be dimly lit and dark, indicating that the heating enters the PID adjustment stage. The meter sometimes measures the temperature exceeding the set temperature, and sometimes the temperature below the set temperature is normal. When the measurement is 1~2h, the studio enters a constant temperature state, and the item enters the drying stage.

4. When the required temperature is low, the secondary setting mode can be used. For example, the required working temperature is 70 °C, the first time is set to 60 °C, the temperature overshoot starts to fall back, and the second time is set to 70 °C. This can reduce or even eliminate the temperature overshoot phenomenon and enter the constant temperature state as soon as possible.

5. When the item is dry, turn off the power. If the temperature is lowered, open the bleed valve to make the vacuum level 0. Wait for about 5 minutes and then open the door.

6. If the humidity of the dry matter in the working chamber is large, the generated moisture will affect the performance of the vacuum pump. It is recommended to insert a “drying/filter” between the vacuum drying oven and the vacuum pump.

5. If in the process of drying the article, it is necessary to add an inert gas such as nitrogen, and add an intake valve.
