Precautions for using metal detectors

The use of metal detectors is ultimately to improve product quality, maintain corporate image and protect consumer interests. The purpose and precautions for use at different stages of food processing are as follows:

1. Raw material storage stage
The metal detector can be used to detect the metal mixed in the raw material during the raw material storage stage, and the metal foreign matter mixed in the raw material is prevented from damaging the production equipment, and the subsequent processes are not affected. The production line must be designed to allow the flow of powdered or granulated raw materials; when detecting liquid substances, a piped metal detector is used and passed through a pressurized pipe. The smaller the diameter, the lower the temperature of the raw material during the test. The better, the better the freezing is better.

2, the production process
Metal detectors can be used in the production process to detect metal foreign matter mixed in the process: screws and nuts on the production equipment, tool fragments, metal dust generated in the work, rust, fragments of metal tools, staples, workers Accessories and sewing needles. It can be avoided that the effect of the packaging material affects the detection effect, and the effective use rate of the packaging material is improved, especially when using aluminum packaging or when an oxygen scavenger is to be placed, it should be tested at this stage as much as possible. The production line is preferably designed to allow the object to pass longitudinally.

3, single packaging
High sensitivity is obtained by performing detection after monomer packaging. It should be noted that the metal detectors for aluminum-plated packaging are required for the inspection of aluminum-plated packaging products. Metal detectors for aluminum foil packaging are required for the inspection of aluminum foil packaging products.

4. Multiple Packaging and Transportation The final metal inspection prior to shipment reveals nuts or screws that may be mixed after the monomer line. In summary, in order to prevent metal contamination from being transported to the next stage of production, consideration must be given to the use of metal detectors:

a. Select a metal detector suitable for the production line and improve the environmental conditions for installing the metal detector.

b. Evaluate the best entry point in the production line configuration to achieve high sensitivity of the metal. The initial test is preferably carried out at the raw material stage.

c. The smaller the test object, the better.

d. Metal detectors must be optimally set before use.

e. Operate and maintain the metal detector correctly.
