The case involved major food safety issues, drawing great attention from the public opinion. The local police quickly opened the case and the Ministry of Public Security classified it as a supervising case.

With the deepening investigation of the case, a sales channel for "lean meat" from Sichuan gradually became clear. A man surnamed Cai who once provided Hunan with raw materials for "lean meat" was soon incorporated into the police's view.

In the end, Cai gave the Sichuan police the darkness behind the company's production and sales of "lean meat essence": In the absence of any relevant pharmaceutical production licenses or production qualifications, the company has been producing orders for 7 consecutive years since 2002. The sales of "Clenbuterol" were sold to Changzhou, Jiangsu, and Guangzhou, Guangdong, at prices of 900 to 1,600 yuan per kilogram, and then sold to Anhui, Shenzhen, Guangdong, and other places after being sold by the "next family" several times. Some were sold abroad. .

After preliminary review by the police, the company produced a total of 12,399 kilograms of "lean meat essence" for seven years, involving a total amount of more than RMB 1,580,000.

As of now, the police have captured 9 suspects. Among them, six people, including the company’s chief executives Ning Mou and Cai Mou, were approved for arrest and another 2 were detained.

The sales manager arrested the netting of the company. In June 2010, the livestock husbandry department of Longhui County, Hunan Province, found that the pig dealers had tested positive for the "Clenbuterol" to a trafficked pig. Public security agencies dig deep into the sources of goods and found that the cases involved many provinces and cities including Sichuan Province.

Suspects confessed that a Sichuanese man surnamed Cai had previously provided him with "Clean" meat.

In April this year, Cai was arrested and brought to justice. Cai’s identity is “the sales manager of Chengdu Likai Chiral Technology Co., Ltd.”. After interrogation, Cai confessed that he had indeed provided "lean meat essence" to the suspected Hunan suspect. "This batch of goods I helped him out of the field. I don't make nearly every kilogram of money."

The company receives "orders"

"Clenbuterol" sold on the surface, Chengdu Likai Chiral Technology Co., Ltd. is a company that produces chemical products. However, since 2002, after receiving the first order of “Clenbuterol”, the company’s official Ning Mou, together with Cai et al., from within and outside the province, did not have any relevant pharmaceutical production licenses or production qualifications. A number of suppliers purchased “p-hydroxyacetophenone,” a raw material needed for the production of “clenbuterol,” and used the company’s production lines to secretly or indirectly produce “lean meat.” According to Cai, the sale of "clenbuterol" ranges from 900 yuan to 1,600 yuan per kilogram.

With the increase in orders, the company's "sales channels" gradually opened. According to investigation by the police, in the past seven years, the company has established relationships with 67 customers through "first-to-receive orders and later-to-produce production." Products are sold to them domestically and abroad. Among them, they are sold to Changzhou, Jiangsu, Guangdong, Guangzhou, and other chemical company's "Clenbuterol," and some of these companies export.

In addition, in the case of knowingly breaking the law, the company also sold "lean meat essence" to individuals in Chongqing and other places to condone its domestic sales. These products have been sold for several times after being handed down and processed many times.

After investigation, the company produced a total of 1,2399.3 kilograms of "lean meat essence" with a sales amount of more than 15.87 million yuan.

According to Huang Yi, member of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Disciplinary Committee of the Public Security Department of Sichuan Province, this is one of the largest cases of production of "lean meat extracts" seized nationwide.

Recently, six major criminal suspects have been approved by the prosecution authorities for arrest.

During the investigation, the police discovered that in March 2009, the company had been investigated by the relevant authorities and stopped production of "lean meat essence." However, its production volume is huge and its sales channels are relatively wide. At present, it is still impossible to exclude the possibility of not being circulated in the market.

Food safety issues are related to people's livelihood. Are these "lean meat essences" flowing to the public's table?

After investigation, in May 2009, the company had sold "lean meat essence" to Chongqing Liu.

Liu introduced the 292.55 kilograms of "Clenbuterol" from the company's person in charge of Ning, and then sold more than 150 kilograms of it to Anhui Wang.

After Wang Mou got the goods, he processed 100 kilograms into “benzoquinone” and sold it to Wang of Guangzhou.

In 2010, Wang sold the goods to his classmate Luo Mou in Shenzhen. After four changes, Luo finally processed the shipment into a feed additive for pigs and named it "Pig Heavy" for sale.

In May of this year, Luo was arrested. The police investigation found that in the past year, Luomou has sold pigs to the provinces, and a small amount has flowed into Sichuan. According to Luomou, “pig weight” containing “lean meat essence” is used for pig breeding. Each time pigs are fed with a few grams of feed, the pigs will grow abnormally quickly and can grow several kilograms of meat a day.

Recently, the police arrested two suspects who had bought "pig is strong" and checked more than 10 kilograms of "pig was strong." The two suspects were vendors in Sichuan Province and wanted to sell pigs to local pig farmers.

At present, the case is still under further investigation.

The investigation of the case is of course exciting but surprising.
