Chengdu November Pork Price Increases 7.0% MoM

According to the statistics and monitoring system of the Ministry of Commerce, pork prices in Chengdu continued to increase month-on-month in November, and the wholesale price of vegetables dropped from the previous month. Among them, in November, the purchase price of pigs slaughtered at fixed-point enterprises was 14.6 yuan/kg, up 7.9% month-on-month, and the slaughter volume was 62.50 million, a 15.1% increase from the previous quarter. The wholesale price of pork in November was RMB 16.71/kg, up 7.0% from the previous month. In November, the average wholesale price of vegetable market was 3.08 yuan/kg, a decrease of 3.8% from the previous month. Beans, radishes, peppers, cucumbers, celery, and Chinese cabbage were significantly reduced in price. Rape, garlic, and ginger showed price reductions. Bitter gourds and onions rose sharply. Potatoes, lettuce, and wax gourd increased their prices.
