After the piglets were born

Piglets born after birth are congenital tremors. The disease mainly occurs in newly born piglets, with clinical features of rhythmic tremors in the limbs, head, or body. Early-born piglets have more severe symptoms, and later-born piglets have milder symptoms. Adult pigs have a latent or chronic infection. Popular features: The disease spreads in a vertical manner. It only infects pigs. Different breeds and their offspring have the same susceptibility. There was no significant seasonality in the occurrence of the first-born sows, and very few sows produced. The disease was sporadic, and each epidemic had a lethal rate of 10% to 30%. Rehabilitation pigs often become carriers of the virus, and boars can be infected by the sick gilts as virus spreaders. Clinical Symptoms: There was no abnormality in pregnant sows, and the piglets tremored a few hours after their birth. Under normal circumstances, the symptoms of some of the litters of piglets are mild, and all of them have severe symptoms. Tremors are diverse dance moves and are continuous. The frequency of tremors in piglets is decreased, and tremors stop during sleep, but they tremor after standing up. Dogs with strong forelimb tremors are often dog-riding. Sick pigs are difficult to move and unable to feed their babies. They are exacerbated by noise, fright, cold, and excitement. The disease course varies from pig to pig. It usually returns to normal after 2-8 weeks. Severe tremor usually occurs or limb paralysis, spasms, or breastfeeding difficulties cause death. Piglets that have lost their tremor will still develop disease under stressful conditions. The general prognosis of diseased piglets that can live a week after birth is generally good. Control measures: There is no effective vaccine and special treatment for this disease. Prevention of the disease mainly depends on general health and epidemic prevention measures. Do not introduce sows from the farm where the disease is present, and take care to prevent various stress stimuli. When the piglet does not eat breast milk, it is necessary to carry out artificial auxiliary feeding or manual nursing so that most diseased piglets can naturally recover and reduce death.
